Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important.

The Way We Use Information
Your privacy is important to us. We use the information that donors and others, (including non-donor users of our website), provide about themselves when subscribing to our mailing list to send them information about The Survivor Mitzvah Project and SMP’s ongoing activities, to send them receipts of their tax deductible donations, to send out donation envelopes, tribute documents or other requested information.

We do not trade, share, rent or sell a donor’s personal information with anyone else or any other entity, nor do we send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations.

We do not share information on our mailing list with any outside parties except to the extent necessary to actually complete mailings or electronic distributions relating to our own activities. We use your personal information only for the purpose for which it is submitted and our own record keeping as it related to donations received and
requested materials sent.

We use the information you provide about a donor or someone else being honored or memorialized by a donation to acknowledge the donation to the donor and any honoree that the donor may specify, provide the donor with a tax document recording their charitable donation for their records, and for our own internal accounting and record-keeping purposes to comply with record-keeping laws applicable to 501(c)(3) non-profit corporations. All of our users’ information for record-keeping is restricted in our offices. Only staff who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information. Persons may also request to be removed from any electronic or non-electronic mailing list maintained by SMP.
